If you’re having a Halloween party or decking out your home for trick or treaters, we’re sure you’ll agree that Halloween decorations certainly aren’t cheap. That’s where Halloween Popcorn Balls come in – these deliciously popped creations are a treat to nosh on, and by adding a dash of creativity, also make for much more affordable Halloween decorations! Here’s some tips that our handy Halloween experts have conjured up:
If your Halloween décor theme is a little more creeptastic than fairytale, stringing up “eyeball garland” is just the thing for you. Simply unwrap Halloween popcorn balls, and use red and black permanent markers to gently draw the look of a bloodshot eyeball on each popcorn ball. Carefully create a hole through the center of each popcorn ball, and run a string through each popcorn ball. Hang them throughout your home, and you’ll have “all eyes” on you and your guests!
Candyland just so happens to be our favorite board game and one of our most loved party décor themes. Whip your Halloween décor into a Candyland theme by sticking long dowels into each Halloween popcorn ball to give the illusion that they’re lollipops. Then, use craft paints to carefully paint each Halloween “lollipop” into swirling colors. Decorate your home with them, add some bright streamers, and you’ll be all Candyland-decked out!
Classic Halloween themes, like ghosts, spiders, and pumpkins, are the essence of a traditional Halloween theme. Use Halloween popcorn balls to create spiders nestling at the feet of your guests – simply wrap black felt around a Halloween popcorn ball, and attach black dowel sticks or pipe cleaners to it as the spider’s eight legs. Wrap a piece of orange felt around a Halloween popcorn ball to make a pumpkin, and use permanent black marker to transform it into a jack-o-lantern. Let ghosts sway from your gently turning ceiling fans by placing a small white bag over each Halloween popcorn ball, and tighten the bag at the base of the Halloween popcorn ball to resemble the ghost’s head. Then, simply attach to each ceiling fan blade with string, and put the fan on a very low setting to allow the ghosts to sway throughout the room.
Halloween Popcorn Balls are more than just a much-loved Halloween treat, they’re a more creative, affordable way to decorate for your Halloween party or trick or treaters! With just a dollop of ingénue, Halloween candy becomes more than just delicious candy – it becomes our Halloween décor.
