Robin Eggs Candy Make Easter Egg Hunts Magnificently MaltedFrom the makers of Whoppers (no, not the sandwich, silly, that’s Burger King) candy come the ever-so-special Robin eggs candy. Fun fact: The Whopper was introduced in by Burger King1957, but the candy pre-dates the burger. The official Whoppers candy hit the market in 1949, and Robin eggs candy was added to the Whoppers line in the mid 1950’s! Now a staple on the Easter candy scene, Robin eggs candy are pretty, inexpensive, and tasty, too.

When we took a survey of 150 people about their favorite Easter traditions, a prevalent response was “Easter Egg Hunts”, both as participants as children, and as organizers as adults. Easter Egg Hunts have been around for centuries, and of course, are still very popular today. Robin eggs candy make for the perfect Easter Egg Hunt candy, as a few fit perfectly into each of traditional refillable plastic eggs.

Add a fun level of challenge in the Easter Egg Hunt by secretly designating one color (white, yellow, pink, or blue) of Robin eggs candy to be the “winning color”; the secret color is not unveiled until the end of the hunt, and then all of the children open up their plastic eggs and count up how many candy eggs they have of each color. The child who has the most Robin Eggs candy eggs of the secret color wins an extra little prize. Kids will exercise their color skills, and will also learn about friendly competition, too.

Since Robin eggs chocolate Easter candy is made of malted milk balls, have the Easter Egg hunt after dinner, and then hold a post Easter Egg Hunt ice cream party complete with old-fashioned malted milk shakes; simply drop a few of the malted candies into the blender with your typical ice cream shake ingredients.

The kids may not remember the days of roller skating curb service, bobby socks, poodle skirts and stainless steel diners, but sure does. We have been around for more than 70 years—well before the times depicted by Happy Days, Grease and Leave It To Beaver. Both the kids and adults will love the retro ice cream parlor experience, and the Easter memories made together!
